Jimin of BTS Continues to Dominate Global Charts with Solo Album ‘Muse’ and Title Track ‘Who’

Jimin, a member of the globally renowned group BTS, has proven his star power once again with his second solo album, ‘Muse’, and its title track, ‘Who’. Released five months ago, the album continues to make waves across the globe, solidifying Jimin’s position as a trailblazing solo artist in the K-pop scene.

Breaking Records in India

Jimin’s “Who” has gained immense popularity in India, earning a spot on Rolling Stone India’s “Top 10 Best K-pop Songs of 2024” list. The track was praised for its “stellar vocal performance, unique musical elements, and star power that exude an almost surreal charm.”

In an unprecedented feat, “Who” debuted at No. 1 on the Indian Music Industry (IMI) Top 20 Singles Chart and held the position for two consecutive weeks. It remained in the Top 10 for 17 weeks, setting a record for the longest-charting Korean solo song in India. Impressive Billboard Achievements

In the United States, “Who” has left a lasting impression on the Billboard charts. As of December 28, the song ranked No. 47 on the Hot 100 and maintained its position on the chart for 22 consecutive weeks. This achievement broke the record for the longest-charting Korean solo song since PSY’s iconic “Gangnam Style.” Moreover, it became the first K-pop solo track to stay within the Top 60 of the Hot 100 for its first 22 weeks.

Jimin’s album ‘Muse’ also garnered significant attention, securing a spot on the Billboard 200 chart for 22 consecutive weeks, peaking at No. 136. It remains the only K-pop album of 2024 to achieve such longevity.

Global Sensation and Recognition

Jimin’s success is particularly noteworthy given that it was achieved without major promotional campaigns or collaborations. AsianEAC commended the artist, stating, “Jimin’s music continues to shine globally, even during his military service. He truly is a living legend.”

His accolades for 2024 include ranking No. 1 on Spotify’s “Global Top K-pop Songs of the Year” and being named the Best K-pop Solo Song in Apple Music’s “Best of 2024 K-pop World.” These honors further underscore his unparalleled influence in the global music market.

Setting New Standards in K-pop

With ‘Muse’ and ‘Who’, Jimin has set a new benchmark for K-pop solo artists. His music not only highlights his extraordinary talent but also reflects the power of his dedicated global fanbase. Jimin is expected to continue pushing boundaries, elevating K-pop’s presence on the world stage with his unique artistry.

As the year unfolds, fans eagerly anticipate what’s next for Jimin, a true pioneer in the ever-evolving landscape of global music.
