BTS’ Jin is making headlines once again, this time for his hands-on efforts to support wildfire victims in South Korea.

On April 3, 2025, the K-pop superstar, whose real name is Kim Seok-jin, rolled up his sleeves to serve meals to displaced residents at a shelter in Gilan Middle School, located in Gilan-myeon, Andong City, Gyeongbuk Province. Sporting a black cap, mask, and apron, Jin was spotted dishing out food and chatting with locals, asking, “How would you like it?” according to those on the scene. The gesture comes as part of a broader relief effort following a devastating wildfire in the region.

Bighit Music, the agency behind BTS, confirmed the news in a statement on April 4, 2025, noting, “Jin joined the volunteer effort to offer even a small amount of help to those affected by the wildfire.”

The meal distribution took place at a free food center run by Theborn Korea, helmed by CEO Baek Jong-won, a familiar face in South Korea’s culinary and entertainment scenes. Baek, who has ties to Andong, previously pledged support for the area’s recovery, and his connection with Jin—forged through past TV appearances and business collabs—seems to have brought the BTS member into the fold.

Jin’s act of service follows a wave of generosity from his BTS bandmates, who’ve also opened their wallets for the cause. Jungkook led the charge with a hefty 1 billion KRW donation, while V chipped in 200 million KRW, and RM, J-Hope, and Suga each contributed 100 million KRW to aid wildfire recovery efforts.

The 32-year-old singer’s latest move underscores BTS’ ongoing commitment to giving back, blending global stardom with local impact. Fans on social media are already buzzing about Jin’s down-to-earth approach, proving once again why the group remains a force both on and off the charts.
