Virtual idol group PLAVE has set new records with their third mini-album Caligo Pt.1 and its title track “Dash”, proving their growing influence in the K-pop industry.

Released on February 3, 2025, Caligo Pt.1 amassed 11,329,400 streams on Melon within the first 24 hours, surpassing the previous record of 9.72 million streams. Additionally, “Dash” became the first 2025 release to reach No.1 on Melon’s TOP100 chart upon its debut, marking a significant milestone for the group.

The music video for “Dash” has also gained remarkable traction, surpassing 4 million views within two days of release. This rapid success highlights PLAVE’s strong fan engagement and their unique position in the industry.

Unlike traditional K-pop groups, PLAVE is a fully virtual idol group, blending advanced technology with the conventional idol format.
The members are animated characters, but their performances, vocals, and stage presence are meticulously crafted by real-life artists behind the scenes. This hybrid approach allows PLAVE to seamlessly merge the worlds of music, gaming, and digital entertainment, setting them apart in the competitive K-pop landscape.

With this latest achievement, PLAVE has also become the fastest act to enter Melon’s prestigious “Billions Club”, securing both the highest streaming record and the shortest time to reach this milestone.

PLAVE is set to perform "Dash" on Mnet’s M Countdown on February 6, marking one of their most anticipated live showcases to date. As virtual idols continue to redefine K-pop, PLAVE’s unprecedented success proves that the genre is evolving in exciting new ways.
