BTS Jimin Becomes the First K-POP Solo Artist to Receive Gold Certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI)

BTS member Jimin has made history by becoming the first K-POP solo artist to receive a Gold certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). His solo track "Who" has surpassed 400,000 units in sales in the UK, achieving the Gold certification. This marks a significant milestone in Jimin's career as a solo artist, solidifying his global recognition.

"Who" was released on July 19, 2024, and earned the Gold certification just 211 days later. This makes it the first K-POP solo song to achieve this milestone in the UK since PSY's "Gangnam Style." It serves as another example of K-POP music gaining worldwide recognition.

Additionally, "Who" spent 24 consecutive weeks on the UK Official Singles Chart, setting a new record for the longest-charting K-POP solo song. This achievement not only highlights Jimin's success as a member of BTS but also his individual accomplishments as a solo artist. "Who" has further amplified BTS’s global influence and showcased Jimin’s musical talent on the international stage.
