K-pop Idols Express Support for Thailand Earthquake Victims


On March 28, 2025, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, causing tremors that affected parts of Thailand. In response, several Thai K-pop idols have shared messages of support for those impacted by the disaster.
Lisa of BLACKPINK posted on her social media, stating, "Praying for everyone affected by the earthquake. Stay safe." Minnie of (G)I-DLE and Nichkhun of 2PM both shared messages in Thai, urging for the safety of those in the affected areas. Chiquita of BABYMONSTER also expressed concern, saying, "I hope everyone in Thailand stays safe."


BoyNextDoor canceled their scheduled concert in Bangkok on March 29 due to the earthquake. The group released a statement extending their condolences to those affected.
The earthquake resulted in significant damage across Myanmar, with tremors felt in neighboring countries, including Thailand. As authorities continue to assess the impact, K-pop artists with ties to Thailand have used their platforms to extend messages of concern and support for the victims.
